The essential elements of a disco costume

The wig

The disco / afro wig is obviously the essential element of any disguise in the disco style. A wig can even be enough to give a disco touch to your look, regardless of the other elements.

The important elements: the hair should be well curled, the volume of the wig should be large. You will usually find wigs for men or women, and different colors of wigs.

The best of the best: add a comb that holds itself in your wig to assert your 'afro' side.

For men or women: the shirt that shines

A disco costume for men is inconceivable without his good old shirt with a devastating look. On the other hand, avoid bling-bling necklaces (like the one in the photo below) that doesn't match the disco look.

The shirt can be with ruffles (in different colors), with sequins, covered in 'mirror ball' style or more discreetly. it generally has fairly long 'points' at the neck.

For men: the pants

Elephant-leg pants 'legs of eph' is a must. It is usually shiny, glitter or vinyl. It can be white, black, fluorescent ...

Other models are sometimes used such as simple pants with frou-frou, but the elephant leg pants remain an absolute reference.

For women: tunics

Disco tunics are usually showy colors but can also be found in black. The essential accessory of a disco tunic for women is the wide vinyl belt.

Disco dresses are usually covered with glitter or shiny facets. They can be worn with fishnet tights or over pants. They offer a sexier look.

Disco costume accessories

The boa

The boa is a long scarf style made of furs or feathers. As disco accessories, we recommend the feather boas.

Wedge-soled shoes

Ideal for women wishing to dress up down to the smallest detail: think about it, the more eye-catching they are, the more convincing the effect will be.

For men, we also recommend wedge shoes. Women can also opt for a pair of boots or ankle boots (see photos).

Belts

Prefer them in vinyl, black or colored, and rather wide.

Necklaces and bracelets

Treat yourself, it must shine! Pearl necklaces are particularly indicated. For men, neon ties are also available.

Tights

Glasses must be colored, of course! Consider matching them with the rest of your clothes.

Makeup: false eyelashes / false nails / lipstick

Make-up will allow you to polish your disguise : shadow on the cheekbones and eyelids, false eyelashes, false nails and lipstick are recommended.
